About the award

Junior Achievement of Rhode Island instituted The Morris J.W. Gaebe Profile in Excellence Award to honor leaders or organizations demonstrating excellence in the Rhode Island community. The award is Junior Achievement of Rhode Island’s highest honor. It is named after Morris J.W. Gaebe, Chancellor Emeritus of Johnson & Wales University in honor of his service to Junior Achievement and his 64 years of leadership within the university and with many organizations in Rhode Island.

CRITERIA

This award is given to an individual or organization in Rhode Island who has
demonstrated exceptional leadership in the following areas:

  • Courageous thinking and actions

  • Vision and innovation

  • Inspiring leadership

  • Community mindedness
