Experiential Learning Program Manager (Educator Relations)

Position Summary

Working in partnership with the Experiential Learning Program Coordinator (Employer and Community Relations), the Experiential Learning Manager (Educator Relations) will facilitate connections between K-12 schools, youth-serving community-based organizations (CBOs), and Rhode Island employers and industry-related groups. These positions will serve in an intermediary capacity to support career exploration, work-based learning, and academic readiness support through the development and maintenance of a thoughtfully developed concierge service.

Roles & Responsibilities

RI Experiential Learning Platform

  • Support the Digital Marketing & Communications Manager in the continued development and maintenance of the Rhode Island Experiential Learning (RIEXL) platform. The platform provides educators and counselors in K-12 schools and community-based organizations with standardized and equitable access to information on high-quality career exploration, work-based learning, and academic readiness opportunities for youth.

Program Implementation and Support

  • Collaborate with educators and school administrators to identify curriculum needs and align work-based learning opportunities with educational goals.

  • Provide training and guidance to educators on utilizing the Rhode Island Experiential Learning (RIEXL) platform to enhance classroom learning with real-world experiences.

  • Support the director of programs and community partnerships with the implementation and facilitation of JA K–12 programs, including classroom visits, volunteer coordination, and event logistics.

  • Collaborate with the JA programs team to support strategic goals, track program participation, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across all JA programming.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a liaison between educational institutions, the online platform, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

  • Coordinate meetings and workshops to foster collaboration among educators, administrators, and community partners.

Resource Management

  • Manage the intake, categorization, and distribution of work-based learning resources on the online platform based on educational institution needs.

  • Support educators in selecting and accessing appropriate resources that complement classroom instruction and student interests.

Data Collection and Evaluation

  • Develop and implement metrics to assess the impact and effectiveness of work-based learning initiatives on student outcomes.

  • Compile data and prepare reports to evaluate program success and inform continuous improvement efforts.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, educational leadership, curriculum and instruction, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching, education administration, curriculum development, or related fields. Experience with work-based learning programs or career readiness initiatives is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of curriculum development principles and educational trends.

  • Ability to analyze data and use metrics to drive decision-making and program improvements.

  • Innovative thinker with a commitment to fostering educational equity and opportunity.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey the benefits of work-based learning to education partners.

  • Excited to promote and share our mission with people dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to own their economic success.

  • Ability and willingness to attend events and meetings to promote Junior Achievement and our events.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute multiple priorities simultaneously; comfortable with a high-paced environment to meet the needs of the organization.

  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, and experience with volunteer management and/or fundraising databases (i.e., Raiser’s Edge, BCRM, Qgiv, etc.)

  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a member of a team.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and organizational needs.

  • Polished presentation style and a keen eye for detail.

  • Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.

Classification, Expected Hours of Work, and Compensation

  • Exempt

  • Full-time/Year-round

  • Office-based (with opportunities to work remotely, as needed)

  • $57,500+ (negotiable, commensurate with experience)

  • 401(k) plan with profiting sharing and match (after 1-year of employment)
