Junior Achievement of Rhode Island, incorporated in 1949, provides financial education programs at no
cost to schools and students in Rhode Island. JA is a not-for-profit tax-exempt organization under section
501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is a publicly supported organization as defined by sections
170(b)(1)(A)(vi) and 509(a)(1) of the code. Contributions to Junior Achievement of Rhode Island are
deductible for federal income tax purposes, limited to the excess of any money contributed by the donor
over the value of any goods or services received.
