Volunteer at Junior Achievement in Rhode Island

2011/2012 Annual Impact Report

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of Junior Achievement, we are proud to share with you our 2011 – 2012 Annual Impact Report.

This academic year, more than 600 community-business volunteers donated more than 58,000 instructional contact hours to inspire and prepare 10,561 young people to succeed in the global economy.

As the state’s largest Business-Education Partnership, JA has been focusing its efforts on addressing critical issues affecting Rhode Island.

• High School Dropout Rates
• Workforce Skills Gap
• Entrepreneurship Skills Gap
• Youth Financial Literacy

Since JA bridges the gap of what students are learning in school and how it can be applied in the real world, JA is being seen as a solution provider to address the high school dropout epidemic as well as the current workforce and entrepreneurship skills gap, and youth financial literacy.

We encourage you to read our annual impact report to learn more about JA and how together we are making a difference in Rhode Island.

For more than 60 years JA has empowered 380,000 young people to own their economic success and we could not have achieved this without you! JA values your support and continues to maximize your contributions to advance the JA Legacy - for all youth to be given access to opportunity and success.

Thank you!

Rick Simone
